The Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect exams tests understanding of complex global systems design according to Google’s Site Reliability Principles.
It requires knowledge of of 100+ Google Cloud Services, as the exam covers solution design, infrastructure provisioning, security & compliance, business & technical processes, implementation management, and solution & operations reliability.
At two hours it is less of a marathon than the AWS exam.
An interesting aspect of the exam is the use of published case studies which provide the scenarios for around 20% of the questions. This allows the exam to test more complex scenarios. Also there are a number of questions that test general cloud architecture skills and are not specifically focussed on knowledge of Google Cloud specifics.
All in all the Google exam seems to me to be a fairer test of skills with less emphasis on exam technique.
